On Sunday November 27, 2022, the first two-day RE-Hackathon – student competition within the “Promotion of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in Serbia” project was completed at the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad, and the teams with the best ideas and solutions received valuable prizes. The competition was organized with the goal of registered participants, after three workshops held within a 48-hour period, designing and developing a software solution on the topic of renewable energy sources with a special emphasis on solar energy. The awards ceremony was attended by mentors, an expert jury and the director of the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad Drakulić. “50 students, divided into 10 teams, took part in this competition, and showed great ability and skill for resolving tasks and problems related to this important topic.” The Science and Technology Park Novi Sad , as the youngest park in Serbia, will always support events like this that encourage and develop the innovation of young people,” said Drakulić. From the general sponsor – the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) – the first three winning teams received valuable prizes such as laptops, monitors, backpacks and literature, with the most valuable prize being the opportunity to bring their idea to fruition in the coming months with the support of a mentor.
