Today in Belgrade, at the opening of the Italian and Serbian forum, two significant memorandums of understanding were signed by the Science Technology Park Novi Sad and the prestige Italian innovative centers from Milan and Trieste.
The Ceo of The Science and Technology Park, Mr Nebosja Drakulic, signed the memorandum with the Director of Arex S.p.A. from Milan, Mr Igor de Biasio and the memorandum with the Science and Technology in Trieste – Area Science Park.
These agreements represent the important step related to the collabpration betweet the regions between the two countries in the field of science, innovations and technological development. The agreement includes numerous activities, along with the organisation of the annual meetings, the start up support and innovative companies , just as the consideration of mutual international projects in the field of innovations.
It is expected that it would strengthen the relationship between Italy and Serbia, entice the development of reasearch and innovations, and create new opportunities for economic increase of both regions.
Arexpo S.p.A. famous for its contribution in the field of regeneration of strategic areas, particularly emphasized by the space transformation. It is about the host of the World Expo Milan 2015 exibition.
Now this space is converted into Milan Innovation District (MIND), the center for scientifuc research and innovations.
The STP NS, whose founder is Provincial Government of Vojvodina, as the youngest park in Serbia, has accomplished excellent results and managed to achieve great reputation for innovation support and technological improvement.
The Memorandum with science park in Trieste – Arena Science Park – was also signed with STP from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Čačak.
The Minister of Science Technology Development and Innovation, PhD Jelena Begović, attended the ceremony of signing the Memorandum, along with the representatives of italian Embassy in Serbia, science institutions both with economists and bussines people, who participated in the panels with the directors of STPs in Serbia.
